pulseaudio server requires normal user, but running requires root (and other troubles)

Greetings dear dev!

I cannot run with recommended settings from the readme, if I run with root, root hasn't access to Pulseaudio daemon.
If I run without root, it cannot gain required privs.

However, it starts if I run the command without arguments. mtx on one machine and mrx on another. But even in this case, there is either silence received, or distorted sounds, or just noise. Not actual stream from the system process. Is there something to debug?
