I'd love to be able to give startup clearances via DCL in low-traffic situations. TopSky provides a field in the CPDLC config for that.
My suggestion would be: DCL:EDDB,EDDH,EDDV:SID:CLRD TO <ades> OFF <drwy> VIA <sid> SQUAWK <assr> ADT <aobtMDI> NEXT FREQUENCY <freq_own> <atis> <startup_own> <rmk>
this would result in a "STARTUP APPROVED" or "REQUEST STARTUP ON own freq" where it is shown in the AIP.
Additionaly, The option Window_DCL_StartUp_Default=0 could be included in the settings file so the controller needs to actively approve startup.
