Description & Steps to Reproduce

Image

The color contrast between the icon and the background is not always optimal.
Besides, when the whole phone is used in black and white (as that's my case) it's extremely tricky to differentiate between active and inactive states of shuffle and repeat actions.

I usually just enable color to see if it's active or not.

Logs

Not related to logs.

Additional Information

Not sure if these are already solved in the new upcoming UI, so please ignore if that's the case.

Suggestions

  • Something like a small dot below the icon could help indicate if it's currently active.
  • Another way could be a persistent button area visible when it's active.
  • Or just a different icon altogether.

Color itself, for black and white screens or visually impaired users isn't enough here.
