Where to download Uppaal SMC?

I’ve already installed UPPAAL 5.0.0, but I can’t find where to use the SMC feature in this version. Where can I access the SMC functionality? or I download the wrong one?

Hi,
You have downloaded the correct one.
SMC has been integrated into main Uppaal since version 4.1.19.
SMC features are SMC queries, Statistical parameters in Options menu and Concrete Simulator tab.
What feature in particular are you looking for?

I'm looking for to use randomness in UPPAAL SMC and estimate the probability of each path. And it says it need SMC version.

Could you please post a screenshot? I need more context.

Uppaal will warn when SMC features are not available. For example, floating point numbers are not supported in symbolic engine (symbolic queries and symbolic simulator), but they are fine with statistical engine (queries and Concrete Simulator). Basically not every model can be analysed with every technique, although there is significant overlap.

I think I understand now. I’m trying to use random(), which disables the symbolic simulator. However, I can still use the concrete simulator and observe the random numbers there. So basically, when I use SMC features, the symbolic simulator won’t work — only the concrete simulator will. I also don’t need to modify the model to switch from normal to SMC; it will automatically handle it when I use SMC features. Right?

Right. It's just 'random' is a special function for generating random floating point numbers (very special functionality, beyond stochastic timed automata), thus symbolic engine does not allow it.

If you are interested in probabilities over paths you can use branch-points with probabilistic weights which is compatible with both engines, and thus avoid calling 'random'.
