Can I get a browser push notification, if a chat message is received when my webpage is closed?

This is likely not doable for now. The existing options for push notifications are:

  • Web Push API, which requires an HTTPS server to be always online and registered to the browser.
  • (Periodic) Background Synchronization API, which is only supported by Chrome and Edge.
