Bladed brush and spell combat not working again #348

So I have the feat on my magus and it's not letting me spell combat. Which seems to be this issue that was supposed to be fixed years ago. #144 (comment)
I do not have weapon finesse and am using it with strength so maybe that's different and causing issues?
