Hi there,
"mpich2" as a package name has been depreciated on debian/raspbian, it is "mpich" now. It only used to be a dummy package in debian jessie and has since been removed:
https://packages.debian.org/jessie/mpich2
In the install script, a warning is given, without installing mpich, but shortly after triggering the reboot. Therefore leaving the inexperienced user with an incomplete install and no knowledge about this issue at this point (and furthermore no internet connection). I suggest to change "mpich2" to "mpich" in the install scripts and furthermore introduce a few seconds sleep so that the user can see whether any warnings/errors have occured during installation
Best,
Chris
