Plugin List of Categories doesn't respect deactivated blog posts / shows every blog post of that category

Prerequisites

Description

I use the TYPO3 CE Category Plugin to show a list of blog posts on another page. One category was selected.

The list of blog posts is available but deactivated/work-in-progress blog posts are also shown.

Edit: This only seems to happen if the page with the plugin is deactivated!

Steps to Reproduce

Expected behavior: show only active blog posts by category

Actual behavior: shows every blog post by category
