navigation not working

The navigation links are not showing up:

(both with nav, or toc section in the mkdocs.yml) file. The rest of the theme is working.

Do you have nav included in your header_layout field?

I am trying to get the lateral navigation not the top one I get after using the header_layout as described in the documentation. How can I get the lateral navigation list of links ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "lateral navigation". Do you mean the ones on the left, like these in https://teparsons.github.io/mkdocs-landing/?

Those are in-page navigation, linking to the headings on the current page.
