Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I personally don't really like non-open software, since:

• it's not possible or legal to release forks, in case the developer refuses to add a given feature somebody really wants or stops maintaining the project altogether.
• it looks bad on Modrinth (although that's Minecraft-specific) when a mod is ARR
• it especially hurts to bundle a proprietary (?) mod in a previously fully open modpack

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd appreciate if either an existing license document was dropped in, or a custom one for the project, even if it's very restrictive and revocable, just so it's clear how the project is licensed, and if it's an open-source license, so the mod can be forked & maybe accept PRs

+1 for this. I don't know if it is legal to use this as a library for another mod when it is licensed this way.
