I can't find /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.bluetoothd.plist.

More a note to the developers than a way to fix: I don't know how the LinkKeys inside the script were formatted, but maybe this could be the command to use in Monterey:
defaults read /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist BRPairedDevices
