@srikanthccv Would this be relatively easy to add to the product, given that we already have this in the Dashboards. Is it just a matter of making the dashboards query builder more accessible for metrics or there are other nuances here

Hey, thank you for working on it
Not much to add, my use case is to explore the metrics pushed by my applications to see what is interesting instead of browsing the documentation.
Then, if i manage to build something interesting, be able to add it to a dashboard easily.

Thanks for the details @mguirao . So, will just a dashboard panel creator UI + ability to save to dashboards be a good enough v1 for you?

Curious, since this is already available in Dashboards -> New Dashboards -> New Panel - why not just use that? Is that because it needs 3 clicks to reach and you are still not sure if this is something you want to add in a dashboard?

Now that I know that, I can use it. But creating a new panel when i don't know if or what to put in it feels unatural.
Also OpenTelemetry keeps repeating "Metric, Traces and Logs" so when I only saw "Traces and Logs" in the menu, I was a bit unsettled.
