I'm thinking you could test it using the vcpkg's CI/CD, where I added a port for it that uses your fork on Windows. And their CI/CD rebuilds all downstream libraries, so it's more robust than if it was to compile libgpg-error only.

But I obviously understand if time is a limitation.
