While producing a prototype, we will be implementing a system that isn't fully specified in the Zcash specification or the Crosslink reference, or TFL book. We will produce a "Prototype Protocol design notes" document that calls out any important design trade-offs we made in order to get the protocol working.

This document will be critical in analyzing and refining the prototype into a production-ready protocol.
