Thanks for pointing this out. As per docs, once custom body formatting using JSON is applied, the form switches to multi-column layout, even if only one section is there.

Currently, there is no supported way to keep a strict single-column layout with custom formatting.

this is not a bug but intended behaviour. If single-column layout is very important, we may avoid body formatting for now or wait for the update.
