I believe what he means is that after being mixed, the stack of X amount does not stack with others. When you shift left click to change inventories they move as a whole and do not stack but if you left click and try to stack to others or move it places one unit individually per inventory slot whereas it would be expected to stack at least to 16. This can be seen when melting/mixing when melting 2 of the same metal. Instead of stacking with the item already created, it uses the second output slot of the melter instead of becoming a stack of 2, or left clicking to move any molten alloy from the mixer and only being able to place one at a time from the created stack. Also evident when attempting to stack molten items in the solidifier, and when using cargo networks as it will only move the complete stack as 1 unit to 1 free space with no stacking at the destination.

I have attempted to fix this by redefining the stack size for each unsuccessfully, but my knowledge also is not great.
