For the knockout tournament, till what PLY the opening book will be used?

I'm very happy to hear the real tournament will not use the 1000 position based FENS, for 2 reasons:

1. The FEN positions (1000) are shifted towards mid-game or even late-midgame which makes it difficult to make a difference. Which means even stronger bots (read +100 elo) will have problems beating weaker bots because of the position being already too set in stone for a course of action.
2. My bot requires a special tactic, which kinda looks like turtling at the start. This won;t work with FEN positions.

To know if my turtle tactic might work, I need to know till how much ply the opening books will be played.

Advice: since you already got FEN's working. Why don't you add a list of 100 "opening" FEN positions? This list can also used by us to see how good our bots will do in the real tournament :)
