Can't see output from Console.WriteLine()

I want to be able to debug my code, and defaulted back to printing values to see if they were right, but they didn't show up anywhere when I used Console.WriteLine()... Is there a different way I can print these values, or do the values show up somewhere else? Thanks!

(I'm using MacOS with Visual studio installed from Homebrew)
