The software should include a mode to prevent invalid placement of decorations. This is slightly more complicated than "ensure no decoration overlaps with a wall", as posters can only be placed on south facing flat walls, plants can be placed with their top tile(s) covering walls, etc. Some investigation will be required to enumerate the decoration placement rules.
