Save highlights directly in the pdf after highlighting with links

Hello,
my question respectively feature idea is, to create a option, so you can select all highlights and save this highlights, that were add with banklinks (not directly in the pdf), directly in the pdf?
My care is, that the plugin have to exist respectively be abled to show the highlights and when the plugin does not exist any more my highlights were "delete"...
I know, that I can add the highlights directly to the pdf, but in this case I have to wait after every highlight a few second (in which time the pdf reload).

Is it possible to counter this concern?
