Long-term sustainability? #208
-
First - WOW This plugin is exactly what I've been waiting/hoping for in Obsidian. Much smoother than Zotero imports. Thank you for developing. Regarding sustainability, I have one concern. When I disable the plugin, I'm still able to navigate from the Obsidian hyperlink to the PDF section (the green check in the picture), which is fantastic. The problem is, after disabling, I lose the ability to navigate from PDF highlights back to the location in Obsidian (the red X), as well as lose the highlights in the PDF entirely. I've turned on the "Enable PDF editing" without any luck. What happens if this plugin is no longer developed? Is there a way to keep PDF highlights and double-click those to navigate back to the Obsidian note? |

Unfortunately, I think it's impossible to go back to the markdown note by double-clicking highlights WITHOUT PDF++, because it is purely PDF++'s feature. Instead, you can use the backlink view for that purpose although it will not be as handy as double-click. Donation is a good idea to help the constant maintenance and is very much appreciated, but it does not ensure the continuous development for, say, the next 10 years. |
