Can't generate dark.jpg

Hello all...
I am running 0.8 on a PI 3B+, with latest Raspian. i followed the instructions for Dark Frame correction, and nothing happens.

Because its not clear where the file dark.jpg should be generated, ~allsky or ~alsky/images as it just says "root dir"
So to simplify looking for it wherever darl.jpg maybe generated i install mlocate, to help finding files.
sudo apt install mlocate
ran sudo updatedb, then did the below
change dark.png to dark.jpg in settings.json
did a restart. system restart allsky_RPiHQ
then searched for the dark,jpg file with the command, locate dark.jpg
Nothing was found, not dark.png either.

Suggestions?
