git does not clone this repo, produces fatal error during build

git pull https://github.com/RediSearch/redisearch-api-rs.git
produces nothing else than
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

Also, when building redisearch-api-rs as part of the RedisJSON module on

BeagleBoard.org Debian Buster IoT Image 2020-04-06
kernel:[4.19.94-ti-r59]

the process fails with error:

  fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git 
0.0.0 

Could you please help me with this, I'd use RedisJSON module on BeagleBone in the really close future, and building RediSearch looks to be the roadblock.

What is really strange, that on Debian Stretch x64 RedisJSON builds without any flaws.

It seems like you wrote git pull when you really meant git clone... I hope it's as simple as that.
