Contributing to RECAPS

Thank you for your interest in contributing to RECAPS! We appreciate the efforts of the research community to make this project even better. To ensure a smooth and efficient collaboration process, please follow these guidelines when contributing to the project.

Code of Conduct

By participating in this project, you are expected to uphold our Code of Conduct. Please report any unacceptable behavior to the project maintainers.

How to Contribute

  1. Fork the repository: Start by forking the RECAPS repository to your GitHub account.

  2. Create a new branch: Create a new branch for your feature or bug fix. Use a descriptive name that reflects the nature of your changes.

  3. Make your changes: Implement your feature or bug fix in the new branch. Ensure that your changes are well-documented and follow the existing code style and conventions.

  4. Test your changes: Before submitting a pull request, make sure to test your changes thoroughly. Add or update tests as necessary to maintain code coverage and ensure the stability of the project.

  5. Commit your changes: Commit your changes with a clear and descriptive commit message that explains the purpose and scope of your changes.

  6. Push your branch: Push your branch to your forked repository.

  7. Create a pull request: Go to the RECAPS repository and create a new pull request. Provide a detailed description of your changes, including any relevant background information or issues addressed.

  8. Review and respond: Be prepared to address any feedback or comments from the project maintainers during the review process. If revisions are requested, make the necessary changes and update your branch accordingly.

  9. Merge: Once your pull request is approved, it will be merged into the main repository by the project maintainers.
