[APK] REGoth for Android
REGoth for Android
Installation
- Install the APK like any other APK-file on your Phone
- Copy the "REGoth"-folder to the root of your Phones internal Memory. I'm not sure if it works on the sdcard, since I don't own one.
- Copy the Games folder (Can be Gothic I or II) to the REGoth-folder on your Phone, make sure the name of the folder is "Gothic"
You should have this folder-structure now:
/your_phone/REGoth
/your_phone/REGoth/shaders
/your_phone/REGoth/Gothic
/your_phone/REGoth/Gothic/_work
/your_phone/REGoth/Gothic/data
/your_phone/REGoth/Gothic/...
Note that everything (except the contents of the Gothic-folder) is case-sensitive!
Loading can take a while (Distorted screen while loading is fine).
Controls
Lower-left of the screen: Move
Lower-right of the screen: Turn
Upper half of the screen: Action
Actions are applied to the nearest entity, which can be:
- Talking to an NPC (UI is very tiny, but works)
- Picking up items (Will be listed on the left side of the screen)
- Using a Mob (Only first animations will be played, player will not be positioned rightly)
- If nothing is near, an item of the inventory is used (Equipping items works)
Troubleshooting/FAQ
Q: Where is the root of the phones internal memory?
A: Just open the phones (connected via USB) internal storage in any explorer and you should be in the right place!
Q: Can't install the App!
A: You need at least API-level 21, which is Android 5.0.1.
Q: App is crashing!
A: Doublecheck the REGoth-folder is in the right location. (Case-sensitivity!)
Q: The image is blue only!
A: You did not install the game files correctly. Check you paths again.
Q: The image is distorted!
A: Distorted image while loading is "normal".
Q: FPS is low, UI is too tiny, BUGS!
A: This is an early release, not the final state.
