Job with older multi-region mesh gets stuck

Running the code compiled at commit 92d913b using an old multi-region mesh (created about a year ago) results in the code not advancing past the point:

Boundary types not specified. Using defaults.
Zone types not specified. Using defaults.
one field period...

The job will keep running, and eventually time out without further progress. This is a linear simulation that is restarted at timeslice 0. This case is on stellar in directory /scratch/gpfs/akleiner/nstx_linear

@andreas-kleiner I am afraid to say that any multi-region mesh files that were created before December 15, 2023 should be discarded. With old mesh files, there are missing model information so we cannot get any meaningful results. If you have any issues with multi-region mesh generated after December 15, 2023, we will be happy to look at the issues.
