We appear to be entering a pattern where memory usage increases on a regular schedule, leading to overextended memory that eventually crashes. This is not optimal, so let's figure out the cause and resolve!

After disabling the auto-relevancy task in #570, it does indeed appear to have been the primary cause of the memory leak:

There's still a minor memory leak, but it's considerably subtler.
