How to build the CAN plugin for Windows version of plotjuggler

Could you write a instruction about how to build the CAN plugin for Windows version of plotjuggler?
That would be very helpful for me?

Hi there, I remember once I've tried and built plotjuggler & and CAN plugin in a Windows machine with some minor modifications on the submodules, etc. Let me review those changes and check if those are still reproducible. If so, I will try to help you with it. Note that it might take some time, and its functionality might be limited.

For example, if you want to use the streaming side; supported plugins will depend on your QT installation, Qt5::SerialBus and its supported CAN backends on Windows. I recommend you to first check if your CAN interface is supported by Qt5::SerialBus.

Btw, are you building PlotJuggler from source in Windows using the manual given in compile-in-windows and running the source-built version; or are you using an installer ? I am asking this since what I've previously done was to to modify PlotJuggler to include my package under plotjuggler_plugins side by side with other plugins and resolve some compilation errors.

If you are not source-building the PJ, I might not help you much.

Hi @cyctouch, after playing around a Windows 10 virtual machine, was able to create a PlotJuggler installer that contains the CAN plugins, please check https://github.com/PlotJuggler/plotjuggler-CAN-dbs/releases/tag/v1.0.0 and try if it works for you. If you want to add plugins to your installation, you can install PlotJuggler with CAN elsewhere and check the differences between installations to try to work the plugins.
