Formalizing terminology

There probably needs to be a more formalized set of terminology to keep discussion of different parts of the stack consistent. Here's some ideas:

• publisher - refers to the part that is publishing music into the ecosystem
• receiver - refers to the part that is receiving data from the publisher and building a database of music
• player - refers to whatever connects to the receiver in order to play music

And in writing the above I also think there needs to be a bit of a formalization in the idea of whats a "collection" or a "feed" or a "database" or whatnot. There's a few different ways that "collection" is being used and that can get confusing, and I really don't want such important words to be context-dependent.
