Rain Ripples Spawn Underwater

I'm on v4-beta.2 for 1.21.6-fabric for 1.21.8 and rain ripples spawn underwater which looks very weird.

did you disable "requires sky access" for ripples in the config?

I disabled it now and same effect, it still shows up. I think it's just bugged and not working properly.

Okay I hate to break it to you but it's also happening with Rain Splash and the Rain Streaks as well, the ones that like slide down blocks. They all happen underwater.

sounds like some other mod is trying to hook into minecraft's block effects system and breaking it in the process. if you cant figure out which one it is share your game log or modpack.

@PigCart Okay I just isolated the issue and figured out exactly why it happens. It's not an issue with another mod, rather it's an issue with custom-made biomes. On Hypixel's SkyBlock gamemode, there are some custom biomes which have their own namespaces in the F3 menu. Notice how it says "biome: hypixel:moonglade". That's the issue. I've attached my latest.log too in case it's of any help. It's a very specific bug but I still hope you consider fixing it just in case it breaks with mods that add custom biomes.

oh! hypixel! are you certain this only happens in custom biomes? i recall hearing somewhere that heightmaps don't work correctly on hypixel.

You can see above where it says the biome, on the line that starts with CH (meaning client heightmap), the value M should be the y level of the highest collidable block or fluid, but instead it's -1.

could potentially add a workaround to limit incorrect spawns but im not sure if i can fix this properly.

Yeah I'm certain. I tested it everywhere else and it worked flawlessly. Works perfectly in singleplayer too. It's just that there's something wrong with custom biomes.
