Unable to run pennsieve agent using python

Installed latest version of pennsieve & python agent; when I tried to run
from pennsieve2.pennsieve import Pennsieve #to be substituted in future
p=Pennsieve()
I received an error grpc._channel._InactiveRpcError: <_InactiveRpcError of RPC
However, I'm running pennsieve agent in the background. Please advise as to why this might be an issue.

status = StatusCode.UNIMPLEMENTED
