Parallelisation

Very interesting package, which I would like to use on data we collected with the Axivity devices. Do you have tips for parallelisation of the get_sleep command to speed up the analysis process of multiple files? I tried to use the command in a shell script using xargs for parallelisation but ran into an error thrown by the Java Runtime (see attached file).

hey @steffenhartmeyer thanks for sharing your interests :D

At the moment, the asleep package only supports single file processing at a time. If you happen to have access to any cluster machine, you could try run the get_sleep command as an individual process for each file, which would allow you to process hundreds of files at once.

If you are trying to process several files on your own machine, I am not sure how to best to do it. https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/311249/run-same-command-for-multiple-file-at-the-same-time maybe this tread might help?
