This starter repository does not create a binding patent license beyond the Apache-2.0 patent grant for code.
For future validated discoveries, the project should prefer mechanisms that maximize public benefit, such as:
- defensive publication;
- humanitarian patent pledges;
- non-exclusive licensing for neglected-disease use;
- open access for low-income settings where legally and commercially feasible.
Do not make patent promises casually. Seek qualified legal advice before publishing binding patent commitments.
