It would be useful to be able to access them through NumericalEarth in the same way as the existing ECCO products, particularly for global configurations where one may want to initialize/configure the mixing closures from ECCO rather than prescribing globally constant coefficients.

Thoughts on adding download/data-wrangling support for the ECCO4 V4r4 mixing-coefficient product?
The product provides the spatially varying 3-D fields
KAPREDI — along-isopycnal diffusivity
KAPGM — Gent–McWilliams diffusivity
DIFFKR — background vertical diffusivity
