Plugin help request: Extend Task Automations

As best I can tell, Task Automations works on the scope of a whole note.
I'd love it if the commands would work on the scope of a single section as well.
(By section I mean set of tasks/bullets/text delimited at the top by a section heading, and at the bottom by a horizontal line or the next heading. (I have helper functions to help determine this.)

For example, I'd certainly appreciate command(s) that can operate within a section that can:

• sort items to move flagged tasks to the top (e.g. with a ⭐ emoji in it)
• sort items to move higher priority tasks to the top (e.g. with !!! > !! > !)
• sort remaining open tasks by ascending due date (where given)
• move completed items to the end of the section, ordered by ascending done date.
