Team Achievements

  • We were able to create a Connect 4 game that taught lessons of OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
  • Collected feedback after grading students: Connect 4 Feedback #35

Individual Achievements:

  • I worked a lot on the styling of the lesson. The first roadblock I faced getting started was creating a theme that wasn't in line with the open coding society theme. For this, I had to work on restructuring the lesson formats and making sure it worked with the styling of the Open Coding Society page. My individual contributions to the lesson were creating the overview explaining what the students would achieve, and more importantly, building an MCQ for the students so they could test their knowledge on the OOP section.
  • Thinking more like a learning experience designer, as this was completely new to me. Basically, making projects/lessons from the user's perspective.

Personal Goals: Connecting to the AP Units

  • Incorporate more interactive features, such as College Board-style FRQs and MCQs.
  • Potentially include a Gemini study buddy and explore karaoke-based activities to make learning more engaging.
  • Ensure the lesson aligns better with the shared table so it remains cohesive, since last time working independently led to reduced effectiveness and merge conflicts.
  • I need to work on improving my Java coding skills and understanding by using Passionfruit and doing more projects on the side. This way I can prepare myself for the FRQ on the AP Test. I can also work on doing past FRQ questions with sprint 2 Java code.
