Turn CMIP7 data request into usermods

What is the feature/what would you like to discuss?

CAM needs a set of usermods_dirs for different diagnostic output experiment runs.
The data needs come from the CMIP7 data request sheet and the separate CAM data request sheet.

I see a new tab in the Non-CMIP7 CAM output sheet. This new tab, AeroComNonCmor, has a lot of entries, however, these entries are not in the Field names tab.

That means, they are not getting put into any of the usermods sets.

There area also no COSP fieldnames in the Field names tab.

It appears that there are no COSP or Aerocom names in the CMIP7 data request spreadsheet.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to produce usermods files for CAM that can produce output with COSP and Aerocom fields when desired?

I'm planning a separate usermod for the Aerocom P4 control experiment. The tab in the spreadsheet describes non cmip defined diagnostics that are requested in the AeroCom P4.

Perhaps one can make python script that merges namelist files which can be called from shell command? Thus one can have usermods with aerocom or cosp extend from a base usermod?

This already exists, see #287. I can probably use the new sheet but it would help if we could change some of the column headers to match the CMIP7 sheet.

I also need some guidance for what to do about CO2. Do we need a separate set of usermods dirs for runs with a CO2 diagnostic? Do we need to produce some other calculation for non emissions runs?
