Update Message disappears

I seem to have seen an option to update twice today but it disappeared immediately. It would be greate to have an option about the update in a standard place e.g. the about dialog or similar. This is probably related to #142

I just tested it and the update notification stays active all the time when on the home screen, even when its closed it comes back when homescreen is opened again.
Is it not the case for you?

I reopened the issue for you.
In #410 I added a persistent update link to the startup screen:

You will find this in the next release or in the current Dev release here :releases
I understand that you expected this link to be in the About window but at the moment the About window is not implemented consistently across all platforms, so we should handle that separately for Windows and Linux as well.
