[Request] Visual Studio extension

Hello.

If it is possible, I would like to request an extension for Visual Studio. I think that it would be useful to have coverage for this IDE; I'm using it daily for my workflow (C#, .NET) and would love to see this integration happen. I am more than happy to help with testing, providing logs, and validating the extension.

I'm currently already using the WakaTime extension, but I had to tinker the config files a bit to have the correct repository show up on the globe. Obviously, the editor is currently still showing as "Unknown".

Hey Simone, thanks for the report!

"Unknown" editor fix

The DevGlobe heartbeat server has an allowlist of recognized editors, and Visual Studio was missing from it. I’ve just added it on the server side.

Your next heartbeat from VS will now be stored as visualstudio instead of Unknown. You should see it picked up properly within minutes of your next coding session.

Native Visual Studio extension

A native Visual Studio extension is on the roadmap. We’ll keep this issue open as the tracking ticket until it’s released.
