I've just started using Mod Organizer 2 for Morrowind all excited that I have finally found a tool that can show all mod updates on one screen. Unfortunately, the one feature I cared most about doesn't work. Instead of displaying versions, all mods show dates:

What mods do you have issues with and how did you install these mods?

If you install a mod from Nexus using "Download with Vortex" and this shows a date instead of the version, it's most likely because the mod author did not properly set the version field on the corresponding files, etc., on Nexus, so this is not really an MO2 issue.

Almost all mods, i.e. abot's boats - it does have a version on Nexus. I don't use Vortex, I just download .zips.
Actually, I don't mind using dates and would even prefer them, but for that both installed and newest versions should use dates. Currently it also has problems with reading days correctly:

If you download zip and then install onto MO2, MO2 has no way to know information from Nexus. You need to either use the "Download with manager" button on Nexus so that the file will be directly downloaded to MO2 with Nexus info, or then query info on the downloaded file. If you just install the zip file into MO2 without using the download tab, then you need to specify the information manually, MO2 has no way of deducing these from only the zip file.
