Want to build a small "jukebox" for my 2 year old daughter (birthday present) and after searching stuff on the web, found this beautiful project.
I have two PIs from the old days - a PI 1 and a 2.
In the hardware requirements, the minimum was set to PI3.
My question is, as follows.
I want to have a small audio system with a RFID reader that when my kid ours a card with a cow on the box, it will output a cow sound.
Want to have several animals and songs, all stored locally (SD card).
I would love to have some sort of battery solution (so it would be portable cause she will want to bring it everywhere) and would need to have a speaker, of course.
My guess is the pi 3 and above is stated mainly due to Spotify or other external system dependencies and i will be golden with a 2.
Is this correct? Also, any tips if this is the right way? Been told there are cheap packs for Arduino with everything required to make this work

Coding and doing a wooden box is not the problem.
Thank you !
