Want to create a new playlist of mp3 files

Want to have a folder with playlists that plays files from other directories.
Tried:
find ../Band/ -name *.mp3 | sort > Band.m3u

Also tried to add the #EXTM3U on top to make sure that is not the problem but when I play it it doesn't work.
