[suggestion]7.1 patch updates??? i need it #361
Comments
Better to use Wrath Combo - it has more features. |
More features to get you banned, because the addon literally plays the game for you if you want it to, it essentially has a built in bot program. And it's missing some basic things like it has a Storm's Eye combo replacement, but not a Storm's Path combo replacement, which is the main combo you will use. 1 button difference but why make it so I have to do 3-3-4, 3-3-4, and then on occasion 3-3-3... when it could just be 4-4-4, 4-4-4, and then on occasion 4-4-3 when I need to refresh my buff. Either way, I like the simplicity of this addon more. Problem is, people say 'It'll get updated when it gets it' but this plugin sat on test mode for the entirety of 7.0 and never got updated fully. Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think this mod is even being worked on anymore at this point. Last version bump was 3 months ago. |
Literally no one force you to use all of this. But "more options" in general better that "less options".
Actually it have both.
It updated to 7.1. |
It doesn't matter if they are optional. The fact that those features exist in the addon makes them a bigger deal when detected by Square. You're crazy if you think Square doesn't know people use plugins, and can't tell when they do, they just don't care. But you start using a plugin that basically has a built in bot to play the game for you? Doesn't matter if you are actively using it or not, it makes you far more likely to get banned. |
And I'm pretty sure that they don't give a fuck about how "harmless" plugin is. If they choose to ban you for plugin use - they ban you regardless of what this plugin do. |
This add-on helps me with button space. I don't want it to think for but instead just stack my combo spells like in PVP. |
any news from the creator of the plugin ? :) |
Wrath combo is making my button flashing with different skills since one of its 7.0 update and it's never fixed. This original version is still my fav and more than enough. |
I prefer this over others, yes, but this one isn't updated so it's unusable. I have to try alternatives until this one is fixed. it is unfortunate that it takes a lot of effort to update these. |
Heavily prefer this plugin to any other combo plugins. Would love to see an update, even if only in the testing version. Any info on if that will happen/when it might happen? |
Yeah, like buttons that flash at you constantly by design. |
my issue with wrath combo even if its way more detailed is it compiles EVERYTHING to one button. thats just too much and over simplifies the game this version has a perfect balance of compressing what makes sense and still keep fluid gameplay by removing bloat. im glad SE is picking up on it but until they reach the level this plugin does i dont want to map 36 different keys for skills |
You can manually config Wrath combo to configure very similar setup with XIVCombo, but I feel their main focus is auto rotation instead of QoL now. Last week their most recent update broke the more "manual mode" of several jobs and it's still not fixed. Maybe as long as 1 button rotation works, it's not their big concern anymore. Imo the main difference between this plugin and wrath/sloth is that the original version doesn't make rotational decisions for you. Yes it combines many keys to one button, but most of them are keys that must be used in sequence. There's no logical decisions made like whether I need to keep the dot up or spend gauges with the next key press. |
I really hope this gets updated. As someone who really struggles to play the more button heavy jobs this allowed me to play them and actually enjoy the classes. Is there any word on if this is still being worked on? :( |
I just want this game to stop polluting my hotbar space (ESPECIALLY on these Attack-obsessed classes with almost 0 buffs or utilities) with air-headed 123 combos that don't interact with anything or involve any decision making from the player. XIVcombo does only that and all the alternatives suck. |
this plugin updated? it still shows outdated with v1.8.5.0 |
https://github.com/Skooz/XIVComboPlugin Skooz has an alternative branch they are updating. Alternatively you can compile the code yourself and run it as a developer plugin. You will need to be more willing to troubleshoot yourself and look up guides on compiling in visual studio to add it to the experimental section of dalamud but if you spend a few hours should be manageable. |
What is thy suggestion?
[You should probably type that here]
Are abilities in question must be truly mutually exclusive?
Does this actually saves you button space?
Is it wild and wacky?
Is the overall level of intelligence required to execute is about as low as the floor?
