Support for .tif files

I am using the sync utility to import some photos onto Lychee, and get the following error:

filename.tif: File format not supported

I have a lot of .tif files which I would like to view via Lychee. Are there any plans to add support for this file type?

You can somewhat do it:
You have in the All Settings tab the option "Allowed extra formats, will not be processed".
I set mine as .psd|.pdf|.dng|.tif|.webm|.epub, this allows me to upload tif files and they are somewhat processed. The only problem is that the original stays in .tif and thus is not converted in a "viewable" format for browsers. But if your image is large enough, the small & medium jpeg variants will be generated and displayed in your gallery.

On a long run, it would be better to have support for multiple exotic photo formats... But that is not the priority.
