@LukeSmithxyz thank you for your work on mutt-wizard. I have always wanted to try to use neomutt, and mutt-wizard has let me try it out as a complete newbie to neomutt.

I was wondering if there is an extra step that is needed to get an Outlook.com address to work with mw?

I got the same "Log-on not successful." message that I got when I added a gmail.com address by using just my email address and regular password instead of the "App Password" that you have to setup using the links in the readme.

I have my gmail address working after I created and used the 16 letter App password. I looked for a similar option in my Outlook.com account settings, but didn't find anything, but I might have missed something.

I thought I might have had the wrong password, but I tested the password by logging into the web interface for Outlook.com and that worked with the password that I had saved in keepassXC so I'm at a loss of what I might have to do or did incorrectly. Any suggestions from the community?

I do have my vivaldi.net address working, and as mentioned my gmail address working. I was trying to add my outlook address as a third address in neomutt.

Same here. Logging in to Outlook used to work just fine without the need for an extra step. Could it be some kind of update that requires something like an "App Password" similar to Gmail?

Hey, I was running into the same problem. As it seems, this sort of problem is related to a change in Microsoft's terms, as it seems they are trying to remove simple authentication from their apps. Because of that, I suppose it will be, or it is already, impossible to use mw with a authentication password. They suggest using their own interfaces and apps as an alternative, of course. What would solve this, perhaps is a future implementation of mw with pass otp using the oauth 30s code to connect into the account. Don't know how feasible is that, though.
