Note: For enhanced security, we recommend using port 993 (IMAPS with SSL/TLS) for incoming mail instead of port 143 (STARTTLS).

Use these settings for any email client:

| IMAP Server | mail.yourdomain.com |
| IMAP Port | 993 (SSL/TLS) ✅ Recommended 143 (STARTTLS) |
| SMTP Server | mail.yourdomain.com |
| SMTP Port | 587 (STARTTLS) ✅ Recommended 465 (SSL/TLS) |
| Username | Your full email address |
| Authentication | Normal password |
Security Recommendation: Always use port 993 with SSL/TLS for IMAP connections to ensure your email is encrypted from the start of the connection.
- Ensure your firewall allows connections on ports 143, 587, 993, and 465.
- Verify your email address and password are correct.
- Check that your mail server's SSL certificate is valid.
- If you experience connection issues with port 993, verify that:
- Your SSL certificate is properly configured
- Port 993 is not blocked by your firewall or ISP
- Your email client supports SSL/TLS connections
- For legacy systems that don't support SSL/TLS properly, you can fall back to port 143 with STARTTLS, but this is less secure.
