From what I can tell the 0.7.0 update has installed but had not been running until today when I restarted my jellyfin server. After the restart I started to run into issues with my streams where they will load but only run for about 10-20 seconds before they freeze and error and wont restart. I tried restarting my server and it didn't seem to help. I have confirmed my streams are working fine as I go to an different external player and they play fine. Lastly I have downgraded back to 0.6.4 and all seems to be working fine like it was previously. Im not sure what would be causing this problem but I think it has something to do with the 0.7.0 update. Please let me know if and what log files you might need to solve this issue.

Thanks for your work on this project, NotAquaDude

  1. What kind of content are you playing (such as Live TV, VOD, Series, Catchup)?
  2. What client are you using for playback?
  3. Are these issues happening with a direct or transcoded stream?
  4. Can you provide server (and if possible client) logs?

I am having a similar issue. When I load the plugin and enter my login info all that happens is a loading circle spinning it never loads the iptv playlist. I let it run over night nothing. I have tried it with the vpn on and off still won't load. I am using the direct info my iptv provider sent me. I know it works I have it loaded on an google tv device with tivimate and it works fine. I am just trying to get it onto the jellyfin server on my windows 11 pc to centralize everything and make a media server. I attached this log not sure it is the right one and if it will help. If there is a different one let me know and I will try to find it and post it.

I would love to test #162 but have no idea how and what its and what the artifact is and how incorporate it? I was able to download the zip file but no idea what to do with it.

@larbo44: if you look in your Jellyfin configuration folder, there should be a plugin folder (by default at <config>/data/plugins/Jellyfin Xtream_0.7.0.0). Replace the Jellyfin.Xtream.dll and meta.json file with the contest of the archive and then restart your server.

The official docs also have some info on manually installing a plugin.

I was unable to located the folder, I am using windows 11 not sure that makes a difference. So I have no idea where it is located, I did a search for Jellyfin Xtream and found it I tried to follow the path in the properties couldn't find it so I clicked on the search and found it and it had just both of those files in it and I replaced them with the ones from the zip file no change. Still not sure if that was the file and location. C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\plugins\Jellyfin Xtream_0.7.0.0 that is were my search said the folder was located I was able to locate the file using explorer as well still no change when I replaced the two files. I hope that made sense.

I'm preparing the v0.7.1 release which will include the PR, so hang on a moment and you'll be able to normally update your plugin :)
