Description
As a user taking computer science I want to test my skills in Big Idea 2 so I can expand my understanding of Binary prior to the AP Exam. When the users enter the Binary main page they will log in, and interact with our homepage. There they can see a submenu and buttons to explore how they can test their binary knowledge. On the submenu, there will be a button that says “Binary Quiz”. This is what I have worked on to create a good user experience and make sure that the user can test their knowledge. The quiz will have a variety of topics following the same information that was provided and recommended to read. When the user visits the quiz page they will see:
The main quiz portion is where there will be questions on converting to decimals, testing your knowledge of APII and Unicodes, adding and subtracting binary numbers, and what happens during shifts. At the end of the quiz, it will show the users the answers they answered correctly and incorrectly by coloring them red for wrong and green for correct. It will also say your cumulative score at the end of the page.
Our team hopes that this interaction with the Big Idea 2 material and the creation of this quiz will allow you to test your knowledge and get a grasp on your understanding of the topic.
Additional possible future ideas:
Leader board for who ranks the highest in their quiz scores and explanations for each question, why the wrong answers are wrong, and why the correct answer is right. Another possible idea is to have the ability to post their scores on a page if they feel proud of it where others can comment. One other idea would be that if you pass with a score of 75% and above the website will show a smiley face and a good job or well done message and if they score below it will say better luck next time or try again with a mutual or frowny face.
