Switching from PySimpleGUI to tkinter?

Would you be open to switching from PySimpleGUI to tkinter (or something else)? We've had a tough time with the PySimpleGUI licensing changes and now it seems the package is being abandoned and will no longer be maintained: https://docs.pysimplegui.com/en/latest/. Our lab really benefits from the GUI so it's important to us to keep that going. Happy to work on a PR for this.

Thanks for the heads up re: PySimpleGUI ending, that had passed me by. It's also great to hear that folk are using and rooting for the GUI version, that's very useful to know!

I'm certainly open to switching the GUI package. I might even have some old tkinter versions I can dust off, as I tested out a couple of different options when first trying the GUI options. While I'm not an expert, it looks like that's probably the best bet in terms of long term stability and accessibility (although I would love to hear if you/others had more informed opinions on it).

There's a big-ish update in the works (relating to the upcoming AIRR-C TCR germline reference release, solving a different licensing issue for commercial users), so it's probably worth waiting until that's in place before doing anything. However if I can't find those old scripts or easily make the tkinter conversion then yes please, a PR would be extremely helpful, thanks!
