Execution error

I introduced a new pulpwood sector into the GCAM biochar module v 5.3. After that I encountered the error below when running the run-gcam.bat file.

Parsing ../input/gcamdata/xml/demand_input.xml scenario component.
ERROR: XML Read Exception message is:
unable to open primary document entity 'C:\Users\vonyang\OneDrive - Clemson University\Onyango Dissertation\GCAMDissertation\gcam-core v5.3 Practicals/input/gcamdata/xml/demand_input.xml'

I will appreciate any help on this.

Hi Vaine,

Looks like GCAM cannot find or open the new demand_input.xml file at the location specified in the configuration?

I would first confirm that the file is located here:

gcam-core v5.3 Practicals/input/gcamdata/xml/demand_input.xml

Also, make sure Windows has not saved it as something like demand_input.xml.txt. Since the folder is on OneDrive, check that the file is stored locally and not only online. If the file is in a different folder, you will need to update its path in the configuration XML.

Once GCAM can locate the file, it may provide another error if anything inside the XML needs to be corrected, but this particular message appears to be a file-path issue.
